5 Pregnancy Fashion Tips

I just enjoyed this article about fashion pregnancy tips:
Being pregnant is hard enough, and your main concern is being healthy not looking fashionable. But as a woman you want to look decent for yourself or for your man. It’s even harder on celebrities because they’re being watched constantly, take Kim Kardashian for example. She always had a stunning hourglass figure and now that she’s pregnant she gained a couple of pounds. The media wasn’t too nice to her and commented really mean on her fashion choices, so let’s take a look what Kim did right and wrong.
1. Your boobs will get bigger. This is a good thing, so you should use this as a plus. Pick a nice blouse or dress to show off your cleavage, but don’t forget to support your bust! This is important because you will be in pain or your boobs will be all over the place instead of inside your dress. Not a good look.
2. Avoid voluminous shapes. You are getting bigger and that’s normal, but you don’t have to be exclaiming that. Don’t wear jeans or skirts with peplums, they add extra material to your figure and make you look much bigger. Look at thes picture of Kim Kardashian down below and you will see what I mean.
3. Emphasize the positive. Show off your legs and cleavage, because they are probably one of the few body parts that you can be sure won’t change too much over the course of your pregnancy. Focus on the positive things and try to not worry too much about the less pretty things. Read our post about how to stay strech mark free during your pregnancy.
4. Listen to your body, not the latest trend. Your body is under a lot of stress and it’s changing. Trends are great, but don’t overdo it. You should feel comfortable first and then think about whether or not you are being trendy.

5. Pick the right colors. Some colors are more flattering than others, that’s a fact for sure. In a huge pink dress you’ll look more like a clown, while a black dress makes you look sophisticated and slims down. Find out what colors suit you.

I was thinking about baby clothes and remembered something quite important. As new mummy you will be very excited to buy your gorgeous little baby some clothes, and not only clothes for the next few months but also 6 months or even 1 year ahead. Whether you should or shouldn't do it, it's irrelevant. I want to remind you to think ahead about your baby age at the time when the clothes will fit. For example if your baby is born say in June, this means that when the baby will turn 6 months it will be December! So there is no point to buy baby summer clothes with size 6-9 months, as your baby needs some warm clothes at that age. Its so straightforward, but believe when you get to the baby department and seen all the beautiful clothes you will forget about logic etc.

Welcome newborn baby

Recently I saw Sainsbury’s commercial about new parents. I think it’s brilliant! I could recognize myself in many situations. The point of the commercial is that new parents tend to be over protected, buy a lot of unnecessary baby related stuff and seem don’t know what the baby really needs. The commercial world is making money buy selling products, so there is huge amount of baby products some are really useful other really just a junk to get money from you.

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was reading a lot of baby related forums and website. A lot of different advice was given. I can tell you one thing, I’m so glad that I was reading ahead and was a bit prepared for the baby. Too much reading can be too much as well. I have been reading an excellent book about pregnancy by an American author. That book about pregnancy was awesome, so I read her next book about actually having baby and the first few months. She wrote about her experience and her friend’s experiences, the things she told in her book were not true for me (thank GOD for that!). The life she described after having a child is most likely a horror. It’s really not that bad.

What you really need to know is that it’s crucial to have all necessary stuff for your baby for the first few months. Believe me, after you give birth to your child you will not be in the mood neither in state to go and shop around. If you are amazingly in shape to do so, why should you? All the stress, looking for the “right” stuff and running up and down with newborn baby is really unnecessary. All that hassle can be avoided; I was so enormously happy that I had bought most of the essential things. I was missing a few things, and had to rush to the store. The way I felt, I cant describe it. The first few months with the baby you basically don’t sleep at all (there seem to be some amazing magically babies that do sleep the whole night, I heard a lot about them but haven’t seen one yet). Babies wake up every 2.5-3 hours to eat, they have small stomach so can’t have too much food and therefore they have to eat frequently. So can you imagine me going outside for the first time in days, after no sleeping at all? I felt so dizzy and weak.

Be patient with your precious baby, they just arrived to this world and have no experience at all. They do everything for the first time and even eating costs a lot of their energy and skills. When you understand why babies to what they do, I found it easier to cope with. For example, if you know that your baby is crying because he has tooth growing you know the reason it’s a lot more reassuring that don’t know why our baby is refusing to eat, is unsettled, cant sleep in the night and cries all the time.

Like I said be patient with you little baby, they grow up so fast! Believe me they do, the first 3-6 months are the hardest then it's getting easier and easier.
